And I saw within the mystery of godY vi dentro del misterio de dios

In the midst of the southern breezesEn medio de las brisas del sur

A wondrously beautiful imageUna imagen maravillosamente hermosa

It had a human form and it's countenance was of such beautyTenía una forma humana y su semblante era de tal belleza

That I could have more easily gazed at the sunQue hubiera sido más fácil mirar al sol

Than in that faceQue a ese rostro

For a broad golden ring circled it's headPues un amplio anillo dorado circundaba su cabeza

In this ring above the face there appeared a second countenanceEn este anillo sobre el rostro aparecía un segundo semblante

Like that of an elderly manComo el de un anciano

It's chin and beard resting on the crown of her first faceSu barbilla y barba descansando en la corona de su primer rostro

And on both sides of the figure a wing grew out of the shouldersY a ambos lados de la figura creció un ala de los hombros

The wings rose above the face and were joined thereLas alas se alzaban sobre el rostro y se unían allí

Then at the top part of the wing on the curve appeared an eagle's headLuego en la parte superior del ala en la curva apareció la cabeza de un águila

Its eyes were like fire and in them the brilliance of angels streamed forth from the mirrorSus ojos eran como fuego y en ellos la brillantez de los ángeles fluía desde el espejo

On the part of the left wing's curve there was soothed a human headEn la parte de la curva del ala izquierda se calmaba una cabeza humana

Which shone like the gleaming of the starsQue brillaba como el resplandor de las estrellas

Both faces were turned towards the eastAmbos rostros estaban vueltos hacia el este

And from the shoulders of the figure a wing extended to its kneesY desde los hombros de la figura se extendía un ala hasta las rodillas

The figure was wrapped in a garment that shone like the sunLa figura estaba envuelta en una vestimenta que brillaba como el sol

Its hands carried the lamb which shone like a brilliant daySus manos llevaban al cordero que brillaba como un día brillante

The figure's feet trod upon a monster of blackLos pies de la figura pisaban a un monstruo de negro

A serpent had fastened its teeth into itUna serpiente había clavado sus dientes en él

And its body was wound around the woundY su cuerpo estaba enrollado alrededor de la herida

Its tail extended to the leftSu cola se extendía hacia la izquierda

It said "I am the highest in fiery powerDijo "Soy el más alto en poder ardiente

I have kindled every spark of lifeHe encendido cada chispa de vida

I am it, nothing that is deadlySoy yo, nada que sea mortal

I decided on all realityHe decidido sobre toda realidad

With my wings I fly above this little worldCon mis alas vuelo sobre este pequeño mundo

With wisdom have I put the universe in orderCon sabiduría he puesto en orden el universo

I am the fiery life of essenceSoy la vida ardiente de la esencia

I am a flame beyond the beauty even of the meadowsSoy una llama más allá de la belleza incluso de los prados

It is I who gleam in the watersSoy yo quien brilla en las aguas

It is I that burn in the sunSoy yo quien arde en el sol

It is I that burn in the moonSoy yo quien arde en la luna

It is I that burn in the starsSoy yo quien arde en las estrellas

With every breeze as with invisible life that contains everythingCon cada brisa como con vida invisible que contiene todo

It is I that awaken every thing to lifeSoy yo quien despierta a cada cosa a la vida

The air lives by turning green and being in bloomEl aire vive volviéndose verde y floreciendo

And the waters flow as if they were aliveY las aguas fluyen como si estuvieran vivas

The sun lives in it's light and the moon is enkindledEl sol vive en su luz y la luna se enciende

After it's disappearance once again by the lightDespués de su desaparición una vez más por la luz

Of the sun so that the moon is again revivedDel sol para que la luna vuelva a revivir

The stars too give the light with their beamingLas estrellas también dan luz con su resplandor

I have established pillars that bear the entire globeHe establecido pilares que sostienen todo el globo

In the same way too the body envelopes the soulDe la misma manera el cuerpo envuelve el alma

And maintains it so that the soul will never blow away"Y la mantiene para que el alma nunca se desvanezca"
