Empty words led the sheep astray

Hostage to hatred
We refuse to liberate
We have forgotten we are one

Tortured by existence
Still afraid to let it end
Familiarity breeds contempt

Self- Inflicted
The constant pain of life
These hollow shells we try to leave behind

Avidya-denied Nirvana
Avidya-shackled here in Samsarra

And we cling to this form
Still we hunger for flesh
We are condemned to be born
Again and again and again

This brief existence
An Echo in the well
A re-occuring dream of lonliness

Harboring attatchments
These chains that bind us here
The pain never quites us feel complete

Conquored and punished
Enjoyed and destroyed
Still desire brings us back again

Self- Inflicted
The wheel turns again
Until we learn the noble truth of pain

Avidya-denied Nirvana
Avidya-shackled here in Samsarra

And we cling to this form
Still we hunger for flesh
We are condemned to be born
Again and again and again

Illusion seperates
On a path of inner peace
Serenity is waiting in the void

Self-Inflicted
This chain of countless lives
